Hunter Star Quilt

The Hunter Star quilt block has a long history. It is thought that its origins began in the mid to late 1800s with the Native American 8-point star. The block pattern was first seen published in 1935. The Hunter Star block we recognize was named in an Aunt Martha Book in 1960. This is such a versatile block, able to make countless designs. You will learn how to use the Studio 180 Petite Hunter Star ruler to create the Hunter Star block The sample quilt is found in the book Hunter's Star Hidden Treasures by Deb Tucker. This book offers 36 different quilt patterns all made from the same 7" block. You can make any one of the designs. It's all the same block!
We will be using this book as our pattern. After this class, you will be able to use the ruler and book and make at least 36 more quilts.
